How YOU Can Help
Pictured Above: Dukes Cemetery, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. The cemetery was at one point overtaken by woods, with fallen trees posing a danger to the cemetery and visitors alike. The cemetery is now maintained and was a recipient of signage through FMCC's "Sign It" program.
How can you help with cemetery preservation efforts? Since cemeteries are maintained through the amazing help of Muhlenberg County Detention Center (MCDC), the best way for you to help can encompass a variety of other outlets. You can choose to upright broken or fallen down grave markers (if you have the knowledge-base to properly do so). Or you might pick up sticks at graveyards or decorate the final resting place of Muhlenberg County's past citizens. And, of course, you can support FMCC and cemetery preservation as a whole by spreading the word about maintenance efforts!
If you are unable to place flowers, upright grave markers, or share our mission, you can also send us a monetary donation. Donation options are seasonal, so be sure to check back often. We can assure you that all donations collected will be used for cemetery maintenance, purchasing grave marker cleaning supplies, placing cemetery signs, and more. Watch the instructional video to learn how to donate.
