About Friends of Muhlenberg County Cemeteries

Friends of Muhlenberg County Cemeteries (FMCC) was created with the intent of saving historic cemeteries throughout Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, that are threatened due to forest overgrowth, low-lying vegetation, "progress," and years of neglect.
Seasonally, we accept donations from businesses, individuals, or other groups, be it in the form of monetary assistance or volunteering to maintain cemeteries. Since 2018, when FMCC began, we have been dedicated to preserving numerous cemeteries throughout the county. By working with the Muhlenberg County Detention Center (MCDC) since 2019, a whopping 40 cemeteries each season are maintained and preserved. Friends of Muhlenberg County Cemeteries is a volunteer organization that strives to make a positive impact throughout community cemeteries that will last for generations via placing cemetery signs, cemetery maintenance, and even cemetery beautification projects. We believe it is our duty to preserve the past, in the present, for the future!
